TAIJIQUAN/QIGONG INSTRUCTOR - Shifu Pei Pei Sim

Pei Pei started her professional career as an accountant in Malaysia before quickly realising that her heart lay in wanting to work with people to help improve their mental and physical wellbeing. She trained as a hairdresser and beauty therapist, dealing not only with people’s physical appearance but their psychological and emotional issues as well. However, she wanted to “give” more, so having commenced Yoga in 2002, she decided to train as an instructor so she could share its benefits with the broader community. This led her to complete an International Yoga Instructor Course with the Malaysian Association of Yoga Instructors, followed by advanced training in India and postnatal teacher training in Australia.

In 2010, Pei Pei started questing for even more answers to the mind-body connection and its effect on both physical and mental wellbeing. She found them in the Chinese Martial Arts, and so began her obsession with Taijiquan (Tai Chi) and Qigong. She commenced serious training with Professor Sun Han Xiang and Shifu Tara Brayshaw, attending numerous workshops and specialised training programs in Melbourne, Australia, where she continues to study.

Since that time, Shifu Sim has made it her life work to draw together her vast experience in the healing arts. She has been actively involved in all aspects of Taijiquan and Qigong including competing at the WTQA National Competition in 2013 where she won gold and silver medals, and intends to further her demanding training regime in China soon.

Pei Pei has had years of experience working with people of all ages and fitness levels, helping them learn how to nurture their bodies, sharing her knowledge and skills to enable each of her students to develop healthy minds and a sense of true wellbeing. We are honoured to have Pei Pei as part of the JinLi Team and know you will gain as much from her kindness, patience and extensive experience as we do.
